From the front porch, watch the sun rise over Dolly Sods and day break over Canaan Valley. In the evening, the sunset glows through the trees below, before dark skies beckon you to stargaze. Enjoy yoga on the private back deck - a mat is available for your use. Once the leaves have fallen for the season, enjoy the view of Timberline Mountain ski slopes from the front windows.

The serene community of Old Timberline, bordered by the Dolly Sods Wilderness and Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge, contains two large lakes for fishing and several trails through meadows and woodlands with abundant wildlife. The owners have two young kids and know how hard it is can be to travel, so the cabin boasts plenty of kid-friendly features including toys, pack n' play, booster seat, high chair, games, and many more extra touches to make your stay easy. Kids can have a slumber party in the big bedroom featuring a queen bed, two twins, and trundle. Adults will appreciate black-out curtains in every bedroom, a thoughtfully stocked kitchen, and a first-floor primary bedroom with king bed, desk and an en suite bath with walk-in shower. The fireplace is for decoration only and uses a safe electric insert.
Rates and Booking Information
As of November, 2022 we have transitioned to independent management. We were previously listed via a local property management company where we enjoyed a 5-star rating, a 4.92-star rating on Airbnb, and a 5-star rating on VRBO. Our new rates upon relaunch will be:
Mid-season (spring through late fall) - $240/night
Peak/Ski season (Dec through March) - $380/night ($320 for Sun-Wed nights)
Winter Holidays - $480/night
Discounts available for bookings of 7 nights or more, and we will offer mid-week discounts this ski season.
